Anthony Dias Blue Review

1 Barrel - a creamy mellow new import from Belize. Caramel and
spice with lovely vanilla, toasted oak and beautiful finish. Really
super and check out the price!

Judged the “Best Dark Rum “ at the International Cane Spirits
Festival, One Barrel Rum from Belize is a most wonderful spirit in a
most undistinguished looking package. Its bouquet will make a believer
out of you with its wafting aromas of ripe red fruit, spice, vanilla
and raisins. There’s a savory quality to it that is astounding. The
palate is broad, lush and loaded with fruit-laced flavors. The rum
has great mouth feel and a remarkably long, flavorful finish. A bona
fide sleeper.

The weak tea color of Belize Travellers One Barrel Refined Old Rum is
deceptive-it pops with fresh cut grass, crëme brulee, toasted
pecans and maple syrup. There's a slightly funky, but not unplesant, note
in here as well. Soft mouthfeel delivers a sort of carmel and cream
mixture with a bit of tannic bite. This find has a nutty finish and is
a distinctive lighter rum. Definitely worth finding. (Hap L.L.C.)

The bouquet is basic but pleasing, with sweet molasses scents and some delightful
cocoa and tobacco notes. The palate entry is surprisingly bittersweet and nearly dry;
the flavor turns tobacco-like, almost smoky, yet appealingly sweet at midpalate.
Finishes with simple, no-frills charm.
